CONSTRUCTION
Bolero is carvel-built of Huon planks over Celery Top Pine frames (both from Tasmania, Australia) and her backbone is Bluegum. The superstructure, deck and interior are all constructed from Burmese Golden Teak, hand-picked in Burma. All fastenings are from the USA. The centerboard casing and board, and bulk of the floors are constructed from silicon bronze.

 ACCOMMODATION
Bolero features an extended coach house and bimini over the companionway and cockpit. Below, there is forward accommodation with two generous single berths. In the saloon there is a navigational berth to starboard and two additional berths (from lounge conversions), one to starboard and one to port. The main head, shower and hanging locker is situated between the saloon and the forward accommodation.

The forepeak houses a maintenance workshop facility, which includes excellent access to the anchor chain and windlass. It also includes an extra head, workbench with vice, and lockers/drawers for spare parts.

In the aft portion of the saloon is the galley, fridges and navigational bench. An exquisitely crafted Teak table occupies the saloon centrally and it is surrounded by cobalt leather seating. The galley, with fresh and salt water taps, has a Broadwater four-burner gas stove and oven. Four gas bottles are fitted externally in above-deck lockers adjacent to the mizzen mast. Refrigeration is a large commercial unit (fridge and freezer combined) driven by the Onan generator, main engine or shore power.

Gold-plated lights and hardware prevent excessive tarnishing. Stowage and locker space is extensive and thoughtfully designed, enabling Bolero to travel vast distances without stopovers (see History).

RIGS, SPARS AND SAILS
Yawl with main mast electric furling and mizzen mast manual furling. Both spars are constructed by Allyacht Spars, USA. The main mast is fitted with four Barlow winches; the mizzen is fitted with three Barlow winches. All sails are Hood Vectran (includes new MPS and mizzen staysail).
